Next Generation of Unity

about and for the Unity movement

About September 27, 2010

Next Generation of Unity (NGU) is as much the new generation as the next. NGU is about a place of belonging for the young adult set (post high school to 35ish).

Rachel Simpson is the Next Generation of Unity Consultant at Unity Worldwide Ministries (AKA Association of Unity Churches). She has been involved in NGU for about 10 years. She has been at Unity Worldwide Ministries for over 5 years working with YOU and NGU projects. She is a Masters of Divinity student at Unity Institute and Seminary and plans to graduate and be ordained in 2013.

Rachel is passionate about creating communities in Unity where everyone feels they belong and are thriving.

I learned that there is a name to my generation and I conclude that the “millennials” sounds vaguely like a cult run by the messianic figure Sabbatai Zvi. Arcane references aside, I am gratified by the efforts within Unity Worldwide Ministries to reach out and teach 29-year olds (like myself)with a thirst for spiritual leadership experience. I enjoy platform leadership at Unity of Greater Lansing and I see so many possibilities moving forward in my new Uniteens leader role (as of Sunday). Yea for Next Generation Unity and thank you Rachel! Your blog has a new fan.
